QRP is operating with reduced transmit power, trying to maximise the distance you can communicate over without resorting to cranking up the power.
The NZ QRPers Group organise events for QRP operators and publish a regular email newsletter.

GO QRP Nights
This is a fun activity, or, if you're the competitive sort then go for it. It's designed to be a test of QRP operating skills, antenna efficiency, and equipment. The GO QRP NIGHT is held on the last Saturday of each month starting at 8.00 pm NZST.
We encourage the participation of all hams, even if you're QRO. Although only NZ QRPers Group members are eligible for the points competition, non-members are more than welcome to take part and give a signal report to members who will be seeking contacts for points.

That's about it. Thanks for doing this – I've had a couple of members grizzling about the out-of-date stuff on the NZART Web site, so thought I'd better get onto it.
I'm learning that being a 'one armed paperhanger' is more difficult that first thought! Still, it's all in a good cause.
