Contests HF&VHF
CONTESTS THIS WEEKEND - JULY 5-6 2008
This weekend's principal Contesting activity is our own domestic Memorial
Contest, established post-World War 2 to commemorate those NZ Amateurs who
lost their lives in the defence and service of their country. It may be
appropriate to appreciate that the ultimate service these brave souls gave to
all New Zealanders allows us, today, to enjoy freedom and the pursuance of our
personal and leisure interests. Therefore the participation in the Memorial
Contest will honour those who paid the ultimate price of unselfish service.
