17-October-2008 Contest Manager's Report For 18/19 October 2008Last weekend's band conditions for the Oceania CW Contests resembled something like the "Parson's Egg" in parts - 10m was virtually non existent, while 15m showed a little activity, 20m sputtered into life on occasions while 40m was the pick of the bunch. However, 80m provided quite good activity and was a pretty good source of mults. - 160m another surprise with quite good propagation not only to VK, but also the States and Asia. All this without too many sunspots in sight !!....

10-October-2008 SARC Website Back AgainFrom an e-mail received from Richard G4TUT, he reported that his ISP (Internet Service Provider) closed the Southgate Amateur Radio site down as they had exceeded their quoter of megabytes downloaded. They had 10 000 visitors to the website in one day, was the cause of the problem. back to top
