NZART Executive Council advises of Situation Vacant: National Director AREC. Owing to impending changes the present incumbent has indicated his intention to relinquish the position of National Director of AREC in the near future.

"I'm pleased to report that we have some good news on the 40M and 80M wideband noise problem", WIA Director and National IW coordinator Glenn Dunstan VK4DU said. "ACMA advise that they have DF'd the noise to a location on the Chinese coast". "ACMA have been liaising with the Chinese Administration to have the interference removed. The Chinese Administration has assured ACMA that action will be taken" Glenn said. Thanks to all of you who have submitted reports on this problem.
