Australian Amateurs use prefix AX for ANZAC Day

ACMA (Australian equal of our MED) agrees to allow the use of AX prefix for Anzac Day. Following a request by the WIA, ACMA have agreed to allow use of the AX prefix by all Australian Radio Amateur stations on ANZAC Day, April 25th. The AX prefix may be substituted for the normal VK prefix for the period 0001 to 2359 hours local time on April 25.

NZART Executive Council appoints Jeff Sayer

NZART Executive Council appoints Jeff Sayer, ZL2TFZ as the new National Director of AREC. (18 April 2006) Jeff comes into the role of National Director replacing Brian Purdie ZL2ADL, who is standing down after ten years in the role. Jeff is the current Area Manager ZL2. NZART Executive Council congratulates Jeff on his appointment and looks forward to working with him, said Bruce Douglas ZL2WP, NZART President.
