Descent from Disaster documentary screening 20th May, deals with the loss of the yacht Argo during a Wellington to Lyttleton race in 1951. The documentary includes the assistance of the Amateur fraternity in trying to contact the missing yacht, as well as scenes shot at Musick Memorial Radio station, which played a significant part in the search.

2.2015 NZART AGM & Conference . . . .
. . . . . is being held in Hamilton, "Heart of the Waikato", over Queen's Birthday weekend, from Friday 29th May to Sunday 31st May 2015.
The venue will be the Kentucky Lounge at the Te Rapa Racecourse, Ken Browne Drive, Te Rapa, Hamilton.
Registrations will take place from 4.00pm to 9.00pm on Friday and from 8.00am on Saturday and Sunday.

On Sunday we plan on having 9 forums/talks/presentations etc. Three between morning tea and lunch, then 6 more after lunch, in groups of three.
We have so far -
·Les Cole (ZL1KF) - Les will give a talk and presentation on 'Alice' the huge tunnel boring machine constructing the Waterview Connection of the Auckland motorway network.
·Warren Harris (ZL2AJ) - Warren will be speaking about 'SOTA', Summits on the Air.
·Rockets - a presentation from a local member of the NZ Rocketry Association.
·Ian Ashley (ZL1AQX) - Ian will be speaking about 'Kiwisat'.
·John Yaldwyn (ZL4JY) - John will be speaking about 'DMR', Digital Mobile Radio.
The alternative programme which begins after morning tea each day, will be very much on the same lines as in the past. This a DRAFT only, so could change –
SATURDAY starts with a visit to Tirau, shops and lunch. After lunch a visit to an artisan cheese maker in Putaruru and then onto the New Zealand Timber Museum, also at Tirau. On the way home there will be a visit to the Avantidrome, 'Home of Cycling' at Cambridge and time for a coffee.
Back in Hamilton about 4.30pm
SUNDAY starts at the Hamilton & Waikato Farmer's Market before morning tea. After morning tea there is a visit to Vilagrds Winery for a tour, some wine tasting an platter lunch. In the afternoon Alphra Lavender is visited an finally to the Hamilton Gardens, the 2014 International Garden of the Year.
Back in Hamilton about 3.15pm.
