[From ZL2AMJ: Refer to Agenda Item 8/5-21: for Council Net 1 Feb 2011.]

NZART Council encourages active training in every NZART Branch to strengthen the Amateur Service in New Zealand and to increase membership in the Association.
An Action Point from the NZART Council meeting on the Monday following the 2010 NZART Conference and AGM reads:
"21: ZL2AMJ to prepare appropriate wording to advise all Examination Supervisors on the NZART web page that the Wellington VHF Group examination system is available for examinations."
The examination material referred to is at:
http://www.vhf.org.nz/pubs/VHFGuide/.
This one URL leads to all the examination requirements, syllabus details and examination procedure, provides a study guide, a sample examination paper and a full question-bank with provision for random-selection self-testing on-screen or off-screen.
Any qualified radio amateur in any NZART Branch of any size, anywhere, is now a potential Instructor or mentor for any number of students from one to many.
This presentation and question-tracking system makes studying AMATEUR RADIO "less of a drag" and more interesting for the student, with the examination preparation and delivery easier for Instructors and Supervisors.
The training material is flexible and can be for individual self-study, for weekly classes, or for week-end sessions and can be by hard-copy or viewed on-screen.
Individual study progress can be monitored by fast self-testing and self-scoring, on-or-off-screen, of random-selected questions taken from the complete question-bank.
Hand-out notes on "session topics" can be produced to help any qualified radio amateur to be a Branch Instructor or Mentor to provide training and instruction.
Securely pre-packed examination question-papers for candidates are couriered to a Branch Examination Supervisor to ease the exam day preparation task.
All material is easy to maintain and update by the Approved Radio Examiner as regulatory and other amateur radio circumstances change.
Take the opportunity and with your Branch introduce others to this great experience - AMATEUR RADIO! Everything you need is prepared for you.
A new Training Year is about to begin! Be an Instructor/ Mentor/Trainer!
Additional help can be given if requested. Enquiry details are on the website.
