Action Points Council Meeting December 2013
1    ZL2TW/ZL1PK to look at Debby’s contract then follow with review, and update job
description.
Debby has considered the provisional revised contract and replied with some requested alterations. ZL2TW and ZL3PAH will discuss these and go back to Debby with the aim of producing a final recommendation to Council.
 
Action Points Council Meeting Friday 29 May 2015
1)    ZL2MAX consideration of a logo for promotional purposes for NZART.
    Max still waiting for feedback on this but he will look into doing something    
                                    ZL2TAJ to assist ZL2MAX
2)    ZL2TW to approach a potential trustee for Radio Science Education Trust

3)    ZL2TW to contact ZL4TAE regarding ETEC and NZART
     ZL2TW has finally received a reply from ETEC today                                                                 Ongoing
    
Action Points Council Meeting Monday 1 June 2015
1)    ZL4XYZ/ZL2UDF/ZL2TW – to report back to Council on progress regarding remit 1
and tapping into resources from branches.

Contact has been made with all Branches running weekend: North Shore, Hawke’s Bay and Otago.                  

 2)     Upgrade of the Examination software to Windows 8.
    
ZL2TW is waiting to hear back from Vaughan ZL1VH re a suitable person for this task.                                                Ongoing
    

2)    ZL4ARG/ZL3PAH/ZL3DMC New NZART website
Alex ZL4ARG has a contact in Wellington, Jamie Downing software professional who is keen to look at doing this. Alex is to make contact with him and arrange a skype call with Alex and ZL3PAH.
If progress cannot be made in the next week Alex is to report back to Council.

Action Points Council July meeting 2015
01)    ZL2TW to write to the building owner re the security issues brought up by the Business Manager.      A letter has been sent, waiting for reply.        Ongoing
    
02)    ZL4ARG/ZL2UDF to look into options for simple security camera at HQ.
Alex ZL4ARG has a suitable camera/monitor that he will to send to Debby and Malcolm will sort it out when it arrives.                     Ongoing                
03)    ZL2TW - DATV WN VHF Group Ch 25 DATV Test
ZL2TW has been attempting to contact the secretary to discuss this directly, there may be e-mail issues so the branch President will be contacted instead.

04)    ZL3PAH to contact ZL1VH regarding Hibiscus Coast Branch and Break In column
ZL3PAH has been in touch with ZL1VH and he has stated that he will do this ASAP

05)    ZL4XYZ to put training DVD’s on You Tube, ensuring NZART receives publicity.
Progress is happening re this, it takes some time to upload each DVD
The first eight discs have been put up on You Tube and have had a few hits.

03    ZL2TW advertise the HQ Info-line Editor position
ZL2DL has received an expression of interest from Wayne Jacobsen ZL2OZ and is awaiting a response from him.
There is a possibility of a second expression of interest.
ZL2TW to get back to councillors with more information            Ongoing
(Discussion after meeting: Debby will contact ZL2OZ to see if he is still interested and if so will seek a brief bio and circulate among Council – ZL2TW)

04/10     Break In Editor Vacancy
Mark Gooding ZL2UFI has offered to fill the vacancy. Following a Skype discussion with ZL2UFI by ZL3PAH and ZL2TW a recommendation has been made to Council that he be appointed to the position.

04/11    Sharing postal box
ZL2DL requests that Council consider sharing the NZART postal box with RFUANZ. Current charges for our mailing box are $170.00 per year, if shared by RFUANZ this could potentially be halved.

ZL2TW to contact ZL2DL re this as issues have arisen with NZ Post re sharing, they need to be sorted out.
(Clarified with Debby after the meeting: It is RFUANZ that have some concerns, Debby will see if these concerns can be sorted - ZL2TW)

04/12    World Radio Conference 2015   Donations Received
To be put into the next Issue of Break in respecting those who wanted to remain anonymous. These will be listed according to category: bronze, silver etc.

04/13    Online Study Information – Selwyn Ross ZL1BRC
Selwyn has informed Council that study material that he prepared was removed from the NZART website in 2013 and has sought clarification over this.

ZL1TAJ to follow up

04/14    New Examination Supervisor
David Crook ZL2MQ – Napier Branch. All necessary documentation has been received.

04/15     ZL1 Councillor Vacancy
An offer to fill the position has been received from Howard Buxton ZL1BXA. His Bio has been previously circulated among Council.                 ZL1BXA Appointed

ZL2TW to advise Howard and have him included in the Council e-mail reflector and advise Break-In Editor.


04/16 Application for special event call sign ZL6H
ZL2IW has applied for the special callsign ZL6H for the 50th anniversary of ‘H night’, the return of amateur operating privileges on the 8th December.

Marton Branch Visit
Max ZL2MAX reported to council on his visit.  

Finances
Finance subcommittee (ZL3PAH, ZL1PK and ZL2TW) is to meet and go over the budget and report back by the next council Skype meeting

Local Govt. Liaison Officer Reporting
ZL1PK has circulated ZL1BFS’s report to councillors, all are very happy with the format used.
 
HQ Photocopier
The hire contract with Sharp will terminate in December.
ZL3PAH will begin work with Debby to consider a suitable replacement.
