Action Points Council Meeting Monday 1 June 2015 1) ZL4XYZ/ZL2UDF/ZL2TW – to report back to Council on progress regarding remit 1 and tapping into resources from branches. Ongoing
2) Upgrade of the Examination software for newer versions of Windows. Gary ZL1AN and others have now found the examination software runs on Windows 10 and early versions. Gary suspects Microsoft have upgraded to level to resolve the issue. Complete
3) ZL3PAH New NZART Website The proposal from a local company has been reviewed by the current temporary webmaster Alan ZL1AMW and the webserver/mailing list manager Jim ZL2IA. They recommend that a better approach is to continue to use an open source content management system rather than the proprietary one that would be mandatory with the company above. The current system has been made to work well in the past by Mark ZL2UFI, this was temporary. It has become obvious that what is required is a new webmaster that will take over from Alan and drive the changes required using the open source system of their choosing. Advertising is needed to attract this person. Ongoing
Action Points Council July meeting 2015 01) Security concerns at HQ: need for a security light at the rear entrance Two letters have been sent to the landlord by ZL2TW with no reply. A third letter will be hand delivered by Debby. Ongoing
02) ZL4ARG/ZL2UDF Installation of a security camera at HQ The camera has been for a circular journey with the courier and is being re-sent to Upper Hutt. Phil ZL4XYZ may be able to install this later this week when visiting HQ. Ongoing 03) ZL2TW - DATV WN VHF Group Ch 25 DATV test progress. ZL2TW has written to ZL2TAR, Doug has responded to a reminder stating that a reply is imminent after others involved with the test have replied to him. Ongoing

07/15 General Business Conference Accommodation for Councillors 2016 12 Units have been secured at the Racecourse Hotel for councillors @ $140.00 per night per room. Rooms are clean and tidy with two queen beds in each room. Need to know who will be there on the Thursday night latest date for this is March please. Four rooms look like needed for the extra night at this stage.
ZL2TW gave a brief report on his visit for the re-opening of the Otago Branch 30 clubrooms in Dunedin on 28th December after extensive flood repairs. Alex ZL4ARG also attended.
