A sub committee comprising ZL2LS, ZL1DK and ZL1TGC will form a publicity committee reporting to Council of all actions taken and when. Topsy will also write to all branches asking for any promo material they have that can be used. Vaughan can also talk with Doug McNeill.

AP ZL3ADF to advise the Call Book compiler that Council has approved the
production of call book on CD Rom for 2010.
AP ZL1TGC - Add amendment of remit 6 to the NZART Constitution, lodge copy with
the Registrar of Incorporated Societies and update the web.
Motion: That Council appoint a National Training Officer for amateur radio
exams.

approach various people who could assist with a national examination-training

Break In/Call Book
Motion: That NZART continue to produce an annual call book.

Motion: That we authorize the Break In editor a budget of up to $7,000 for color at his discretion to produce the magazine in 2010/2011

next on air meeting, regarding council expenditure.

submit to the July ‘on air’ council meeting.
Motion: That Fred ZL2AMJ be tasked to update the NZART examination database within 12 months.

AP ZL2AMJ to commence updating the NZART examination database and report to Council on progress.
Motion: That a second exam database be recognized and remains the property Wellington VHF Group and a transition period of 12 to 24 months at the end of which, the existing one on the NZART web page be replaced.

AP ZL2KH/ZL2AMJ to prepare appropriate wording to advise all examiners on the NZART web page that the Wellington VHF Group examination database is recognized by Council and can be used accordingly for examinations.
It was decided that that The President has signing authority of any statutory declarations, which he will perform, on receipt of all relevant information he requires to do so, and on confirmation of validity, practices and procedures being presented.

APRS and digipeaters not covered by current GURL
Motion: NZART Council adopt a policy to encourage members to license or switch off their amateur fixed stations (which is not covered by a GURL) if not attended.

AP ZL1TGC to produce policy document for review by Council before publishing.
Foreign non-resident amateurs not covered by GURL referred back to ALO for further
discussion with MED.
Motion: All new amateurs will pay $95 to receive a call sign and certificate of competency. They receive membership to NZART free for the remainder of that year. If they pass as at 1 October their subscription will cease as at 31 December the following year – giving them 15 months membership free.
NB: This cannot be used in conjunction with the NZART membership promotion of new members submitted by NZART Branches I.E being eligible to claim the 50% rebate.

AP ZL2TDM/ZL2KH all NZART members via HQIL, the Official Broadcast and Break In of the reduced fee structure for ARX services to new amateurs..
Motion: All other ARX fees remain the same to cover costs incurred for this service, such as special event call signs, secondary call signs replacement certificates, one letter call signs and changes to call signs.

Motion: That all Youth Achievement award recipients, NZART pay the conference registration to attend conference in the year after they receive their award, providing they are still NZART members.

AP ZL2TDM to review accommodation for Council and WIA for the 2011
Conference.
