Position: NZART Examination Division Coordinator
Location: Unrestricted within New Zealand
Responsible to: NZART Council
Description of Position
NZART is the body that promotes Amateur Radio within New Zealand.
The Examination Division Coordinator is an Officer appointed by NZART Council to manage the provision of the Amateur Radio Operators Certificate Examinations.
Duties of the Position
Administer the NZART Examination Division on behalf of Council to ensure and to retain a high level of integrity.
Liaise as necessary with the Coordinator of Morse Code Examinations.
Establish and maintain a network of Volunteer Examiners throughout New Zealand.
Supply them with the necessary support (result forms, software upgrades etc) to enable them to offer the new computer based examination system to candidates.
Keep hard copy records of all examinations for audit purposes, and monitor for irregularities
Provide MED and NZART with regular reports of passes etc as required.
Liase with the examination software author as necessary.
Operate within a financial envelope determined by Council
Work Experience
The Examination Division Coordinator would be expected to:
Have knowledge of, and experience with, the administration of Public examinations.
Manage accurate and detailed records.
Manage a small financial budget.
Personal Qualities
The Examination Division Coordinator will require:
Good person skills.
A good knowledge of amateur radio and the aims of NZART.
Training in the software operation of the examination system will be provided as needed, though the successful applicant will be very much involved in setting up its availability in New Zealand.
Resources
The position is an unpaid annual appointment by Council, however operating expenses will be refunded as per NZART policy on Officer Expenses.
