CONTESTS THIS WEEKEND - 19 20 DECEMBER 2009
Apologies for the non appearance of last weekend's bulletin and thanks to (I believe Bill, ZL3NB) for producing one. My XYL and myself had travelled to Auckland the previous day to attend a Dinner and on the Friday decided to visit a Ham friend who is recuperating from major orthopaedic surgery. Our intended visit to him lasted a lot longer than we anticipated with the result we didn't get home until early evening a bit too late to get things under way.
In the Contests column in the latest Break In the 2009 Memorial Contest results were in part somewhat corrupted, due in part to my copy being in MS Excel format and Break In Editor using a conversion program to produce MS Word copy. In each instance the last column of data published will be the Points awarded for each of those affected entrant's log details. Over the upcoming seasonal break I will get the Certificate production matters underway.
This weekend's bulletin has listed popular contesting activities that will occur until the end of January. which (a) will allow one to plan any proposed contesting and (b) allow me to catch up on visiting family. I intend to re-commence the weekly bulletin in mid January, as you will see there will be reduced contesting at that time.

Considered to be one of the more gentlemany contests that has been in existence since the mid-1930's. Apart from the individual performances there is a Team's event, based on individual nation's participation. The NZART Team under the astute leadership of Frank Hunt, ZL2BR won this event in 2007 and finished third last year. Frank is looking for Team participants to make up the NZ Team. Interested - contact Frank by "snail mail" at :- 8 Manu Crescent, New Plymouth. 4310., or email :- zl2br@ihug.co.nz
Contest Rules and other operating information will be available from the Contest website approx. 4 to 6 weeks before the event..
