To commemorate those New Zealand amateur radio operators who lost their lives in World War 2.
1. When:
Saturday/Sunday 6/7 July 2013
2000 – 2300 NZST
Three one-hourly operating periods each evening.
2. Band:
80m only - A station may be contacted twice during each operating period – once on SSB and once on CW, provided that contacts are not consecutive.
3. Operator Category or Sections:
Mixed mode - SSB and CW
CW only
SSB only
QRP
Non-ZL - Australian and other South Pacific stations
4. Exchange:
RS(T) report plus a three digit serial number starting at 001 for the first contact and incrementing by one for each subsequent contact.
5. Scoring:
A. Contact points:
SSB - One point per contact
CW - Two points per contact
B. Multipliers:
Each different ZL, VK or South Pacific callsign prefix worked on SSB and CW is a multiplier.
(eg. a VK7 worked on both SSB & CW counts as two multipliers).
C. Scoring:
The final score is the sum of the contact points multiplied by the number of different multiplier
worked.
6. Logs:
Sample log sheets can be downloaded from NZART web site. Contacts should be listed in time order.
7. Summary Sheet:
A sample summary sheet, also available from the NZART web site, must be completed and attached to the log sheets and should show the following information:
A. Callsign
B. Name and full address of operator.
C. Operator Category (see rule 3)
D. Brief description of equipment used and power output.
E. Points Summary:
F. A list of prefixes worked
8. Log Submissions:
By email: to 2bfrank@orcon.net.nz. Logs and summary sheets should be sent as attachments and can be in plain text, MSWord or Excel formats.
Paper logs and summary sheets should be sent to NZART Contest Manager, Frank Hunt, ZL2BR, 8 Manu Crescent, New Plymouth 4310.
Logs should arrive no later than four weeks after the contest date.
