Repeater and Beacon Map and Bandplan 2008

The bandplans for 921.000 to 929.000 MHz - 32 cm and 10 000 to 10 500 MHz - 3 cm have been altered.

The 10 m repeaters have gone as has Castlepoint 5675. The two HF Digipeaters at Quartz are no more. Sounthland has been removed from the National System. A UHF and two SHF beacons have finished their message.

This is not a contest as such, but an international activity operating from landbase lighthouses, or floating lightships.

A fun team's event involving a true sense of adventure for seasoned landlubbers.

BEWARE OF OTHER LOOKALIKES/SOUNDALIKES activities that generally pop up a week, or so earlier than this ORIGINAL event.

2008 Waitakere Sprints

Waitakere Sprints 2008

The Western Suburbs Radio Club is pleased to advise that the Waitakere Sprint Phone section will be on the last Saturday in July and the Sprint CW section will be on the first Saturday in August. The Sprints are of one-hour duration on 80m, and are open to all licensed amateurs in ZL, VK and Oceania call areas.

Eligibility

The Waitakere Sprints are open to all licensed amateurs anywhere in the ZL, VK and Oceania call areas. SWL logs will also be welcome.

2008 Contest Periods

Phone 1000 to 1100 UTC, on Saturday 26th July

CW1000 to 1100 UTC, on Saturday 2nd August
